Pricing

One price per pound. The math, published.

We price on hanging weight, the way whole-animal beef has always been sold. Below is the rate card and a complete worked example, so there are no surprises when the invoice arrives.

Worked example

What a 300 lb side actually costs

  1. 1

    Hanging weight

    300 lb

A mid-size side, fully dressed and hanging in the cooler.

  2. 2

Side price at $7.35 / lb

    $2,205.00

300 lb × $7.35. Cutting, vacuum packaging, and local delivery are included in this figure.

  3. 3

    Due in full at delivery

    $2,205.00

No deposit is taken, and nothing else is added — no separate processing or packaging invoice.

  4. 4

    Packaged weight in your freezer

    ≈ 210 lb

A typical yield is 65–75% of hanging weight depending on how much you take boneless. This example assumes 70%.

  5. 5

Effective cost per pound of packaged beef

    ≈ $10.50 / lb

$2,205 ÷ 210 lb. That is the number to compare against the shelf — and it covers steaks, roasts, and burger alike.

What is included

Slaughter, a minimum seven-day hang, cutting to your sheet, vacuum packaging, flash freezing, labeling, and local delivery on sides.

What is not

Long-distance delivery outside our regular routes may carry a fee, which we quote in advance. Nothing is ever added to your invoice without confirmation.

How you pay

Payment in full at delivery, calculated on the actual hanging weight of your animal. We send the weight ticket with the invoice — no deposit required.
