Delivery area

We deliver throughout Vermont and into the surrounding region. Local delivery is included in the price of a side of beef. For addresses well outside our regular routes, we will confirm whether we can reach you and quote any delivery fee in writing before you commit.

Scheduling

Sides and quarters are delivered after your animal has been processed and cut to your sheet. We contact you in advance to agree a delivery window. Someone over 18 must be present to receive the order, and we recommend having a second pair of hands available — a side of beef arrives in more boxes than most people expect.

50 lb ground beef boxes can also ship via UPS beyond our delivery routes. Smaller orders are otherwise delivered on our regular routes or arranged for local pickup at the farm in Benson. We confirm the arrangement with you before anything leaves the farm.

Condition on arrival

All beef is vacuum packed, flash frozen, and labeled. It travels frozen and should be moved into your freezer promptly on arrival.

Please inspect your order at delivery. If any package is damaged, thawed, or missing, tell the person delivering it and follow up with us in writing within 48 hours so we can put it right.

Returns

Because this is custom-cut, perishable food, we cannot accept returns of beef once it has been delivered and accepted. This is standard practice for whole-animal meat sales and it exists for food-safety reasons, not commercial ones.

That said, we stand behind what leaves this farm. If a product arrives damaged, spoiled, or materially different from what you ordered, contact us within 48 hours of delivery. We will replace the affected packages on a future delivery or credit them against your balance, whichever you prefer.

Missed deliveries

If nobody is available to receive a scheduled delivery, we will contact you to reschedule. Repeated missed deliveries may incur an additional delivery charge, which we will always discuss with you first.
