We collect the minimum we need to sell you beef and answer your questions. Nothing more.
What we collect
When you submit the reservation form or the contact form, we collect the information you enter: your name, email address, town and state, what you are interested in, your preferred timing, and any notes you write.
If you place an order, we also keep the records needed to fulfil it — your delivery address, your cut sheet preferences, and your order and payment history.
How we use it
- To answer your enquiry and discuss availability
- To take your order, arrange cutting, and deliver your beef
- To keep accurate business and tax records
- To send occasional updates about availability, if you have asked to hear from us. Every such email includes a way to stop receiving them.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.
Who we share it with
We share only what is necessary, and only with parties who help us fulfil your order — for example the butcher shop cutting your animal, or a payment processor handling your payment. They may use your information only to perform that service.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Service providers we use
HubSpot operates our customer forms and our customer-relationship system. When you submit the reservation, reconnect, or contact form, the information you enter — your name, email address, phone number, location, and the details of your order or question — is transmitted to and stored in HubSpot so we can respond, track your order, and keep customer records in one controlled system. HubSpot processes that information only to provide this service to us.
Klaviyo sends our customer email. If you are a customer or have asked to hear from us, your name, email address, and order history may be stored in Klaviyo to send order updates and occasional availability announcements. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing stops marketing email immediately and does not affect an open order.
Emails we send may include campaign tracking parameters so we know which message brought you to the site. These identify the campaign, not anonymous visitors.
Square processes card payments. When you pay a balance by card, payment happens on Square’s own secure page — we never see or store your card number. Square shares with us only the confirmation we need to mark your order paid.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses only what it needs to function. If we add analytics to understand which pages are useful, that data is aggregated and is not used to identify individual visitors. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings without losing access to the site.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become orders are kept only as long as they are useful, and are deleted on request. Order records are kept for as long as business and tax law requires.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it — subject to records we are legally required to retain. Use the contact form and we will respond.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information you give us. No system is perfect, but we keep what we hold to a minimum precisely so there is less to protect.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page. Material changes will be described here rather than buried.
